My path to college counseling has been shaped by both professional experience and personal perspective. I’ve had the privilege of working in public high schools, serving in admissions at a highly selective liberal arts college, and guiding students as a college counselor at international schools. Each of these roles has given me a deep understanding of the admissions process - from both sides of the desk - and a genuine appreciation for the wide range of journeys students take. I started my college counseling practice because I truly love helping students discover their next steps. For me, this work is about more than applications and deadlines; it’s about listening to each student’s story, celebrating who they are, and helping them see the possibilities ahead.

Over the years, I’ve guided students with all kinds of goals and backgrounds, and I’ve learned that there is no “one size fits all” path. Some are drawn to large universities, others to small colleges. Some want to study close to home, others halfway across the world. What they all have in common is the excitement, and sometimes the stress, of figuring out what comes next. That’s where I come in: to make the process feel manageable, to cheer them on, and to help them find a place where they can thrive.

I believe the college search should be as much about self-discovery as it is about applications. I see my role as part coach, part guide, and part cheerleader. For students, I help them stay organized, discover their strengths, and find their authentic voice in the process. I want every student and family I support to feel informed, encouraged, and confident as they move through this chapter. For families, I aim to “keep the peace” at home so parents and teens can enjoy senior year, celebrate milestones, and savor time together before college begins.

For me, college counseling is about more than applications and acceptances. It’s about helping students discover who they are, find their fit, and step into the next stage of life ready to thrive.
